Where did we get these children!?!?!

Now I know that Tammy, Tracy, and I have strong personalities...but what did we do to deserve the HARD-HEADED children we gave birth to!?!? We have been planning a trip to the beach for a while to get some pics of all the great-grands (minus Maegan) :( for quite a while. We decided to bite the bullet and do it today. Tracy and I met up this morning and drove to Jekyll. Tammy was at the coast, so she met us down there. After a quick pit-stop, and a stressful wardrobe change, we hit the beach to torture ourselves. OH....MY.....GOODNESS!! Can you just say those children are BRICK-headed?! Miss AC was having NO part of the fun, and Bailey couldn't get over her monumental fear of all things creepy-crawly. We worked HARD for however long we were out there. Tracy tried desperately to get some good shots (which I think she managed), while Tammy tried to maneuver AC into the pics. AC wanted nothing to do with it; Bailey was crying in terror, I was threatening her well-being.......the drama goes on and on. Trying to keep Dawson and Emi focused was impossible; Colby never seemed to be looking at the camera when Tammy tossed AC into the shot; and Bailey was, as Calysta says, "slinging snot for three days". NIGHTMARE!! However, some cute pics made it into the camera somehow!

After that wrestling match, we were off to the beach for playtime. Another wardrobe change, the hike to the beach, and all was well in the world. The kiddos had a great time playing together; and the three exhausted mamas got to get a little sun and adult conversation. We all took a turn chasing teeny-britches to the water's edge...just to keep life interesting. After all the drama, I have to say....it was a very good day. We really enjoyed ourselves.
