Savannah Outing

With the crazy schedules we keep, quality time with all four family members is hard to come by. Last weekend we decided to take a much-needed outing to Savannah. After lunch at Bailey and Emi's restaurant pick, Cracker Barrel, we were off to the mall for some fun at Skukuzoo. They had a ball climbing in and out of all the obstacles, and it was nice to see Bailey leaving usually-dominant Emi in her dust. Then it was on to the the theater for "Hotel for Dogs". Going to the movies with Bailey and Emi is always an experience. If you have ever been around them, you know that nothing, and no one, intimidates them. After they had a long chat with a family waiting for their movie, they went on to inform a Chatham County deputy (who was there to enforce the age requirement to watch "Friday the 13th") that he was not a real cop, but merely a security guard (YIKES!). I'm pricing muzzles! Finally it was time for our movie. Bailey and Emi have a volume control problem, as well as an inability to handle suspense of any kind. What this means in a movie theater setting is that we are constantly reminding them to be quiet, and almost invariably end up trying to calm them during emotional parts of the movie. Where most people would worry about what would happen next, or maybe even get a little misty-eyed, Bailey and Emi burst into tears and are inconsolable. It would be a little sweet, and maybe even cute, if it wasn't so stressful for us and the people around us. So after that fun-filled afternoon, we hit the road home. I took this picture about halfway home when they suddenly stopped talking.
